Shocking defeat..

It was a shocking defeat for the IPL runner ups "Mumbai Indians" at Johannesburg...
The Highland lions earlier made blistering 186 for five in 20 overs.. thanks to the some good high hitting of Neil Mckienzie at the end overs..
Sachin Tendulkar and Shikhar Dhawan of Mumbai Indians came down to bat chasing a good score .. but johannsburg is known for the people winning chasing second like the 434 run chase by the South Africans against the Aussies..

All was well for the Mumbai team until Shikhar lost his wicket cheaply for a not so necessary reverse sweep.. The partnership was then 83. soon after the wicket of Shikhar followed Rayudu to the dug out ..
Only when it was looking the day of the master his wicket fell being bowled by Shane burger..

Soon Pollard entered the scene scoring the high hitting shorts he is known but he fell for another yorker
from the man who dismissed the master..
all seemed to end there.. as Mumbai Indians fell short of 9 runs at the end..

After the shocking defeat Duminy said that "Mumbai Indians wil come back strongly in the next match against South African RED BACKS"

"It is the first game of the tournament and obviously we would have loved to start the tournament on a winning note. But we are not yet out. There are three more games to go and we definitely have the side to make a comeback," said Duminy.

Test captain Salman Butt and pace bowlers Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Aamer were suspended by the International Cricket Council last week over spot-fixing allegations.

Shahid Afridi, who will captain Pakistan in the one-day series against England, apologised to his countrymen for the damage caused by the scandal.

"Pakistanis passionately love their cricket team and support us. I apologise to them and the rest of the cricket world for what has happened," he told Geo News channel.

"I can only ask for forgiveness on behalf of Salman, Asif and Aamer."
Pakistan High Commissioner Wajid Shamsul Hasan told BBC Radio on Sunday that the trio should receive life bans if they are found guilty.

"If the News of the World evidence is correct then I would banish them from cricket," Hasan said.

Coach Waqar Younis revealed the suspended trio would be welcomed back into the Pakistani squad if they are cleared by the ICC.
He said: “It has been a very difficult last week for us on and off the field.
“The support staff and Shahid Afridi are working very hard to stop people thinking about anything else apart from cricket. It has been very difficult to refocus.
